McCutchen Mailday #11 - 21: Lots of low numbers, rainbows, and an another Strata

I have over 1,000 unique Andrew McCutchen cards.  Of all those, I have started many rainbows, but have only completed two officially.

My recent purchases which ALL arrived on the same day contained a lot of needs for my Prizm, Bowman, and Topps rainbows. 

It felt like Christmas opening all those packages.  There was so many cards that my girlfriend was actually calling me Jimmy Fallon based on the movie Fever Pitch.  "Wow Jimmy, looks like you got some more cards in the mail today" is one of her favorite phrases when I have big maildays like this.

We're getting close to the end for my Andrew McCutchen additions this year.  I've recently grabbed 4 more parallels.

Included in the group was a gold parallel from 2015 Topps Stadium Contact Sheets, A Topps Heritage Archive Game (red back triple), Topps Tek Clouds Diffractor, and 2015 Prizm Black & White Checkerboard.

My three most recent Cutch additions to the PC in 2015 are a trio of parallels that sound like quite the rare bird.

The canary is my favorite.

I love Triple Threads this year.  Incredible design by Topps!

McCutchen Mailday #157: Murica

Wow!!! What an amazing football game last night.  The Steelers showed grit in the final seconds as they beat the Chargers on National TV.  There was a lot of black and yellow in the stadium by the looks of it.  Forget about Dallas, Pittsburgh is America's team!!!!!

Speaking of America....

These red, white, and blue parallels might be my favorite Prism color parallels.  I snagged this bad boy for $2.50 delivered a few months ago, but am so back logged with posting my Cutch cards.

I'm already well over acquiring twice what I set out to acquire in my pursuit to add 100 new Cutch cards to the PC this year, but as you can see I am behind in posting.

McCutchen Mailday #152: National VIP /25 Cracked Ice

I didn't attend the 2015 National, but a friend of mine did.  I asked him to try and track down any Andrew McCutchen exclusives while attending.  Unfortunately he is a terrible friend and failed me.  That forced my hand to try the world wide web and track them down.

Shortly after the convention, this cracked ice /25 Prizm National VIP exclusive popped up for a B-I-N of $10 delivered.  It was a little more than I would have liked, but at the same time reasonable enough that I chose to pull the trigger.  I'm still on the prowl for the Allen & Ginter die cut of Cutch along with some other parallels of this Panini card.

Add in some low numbered parallels from Panini and you have my latest lot of Cutch's I've purchased.

McCutchen Mailday #113: Jackie Robinson Tribute

An eBay 1/1 is my latest addition to the Cutch collection.  Numbered 1/42 this 2015 Prizm Jackie Robinson variant cost me a cool $14.42 delivered.  It's my 2nd Jackie Robinson parallel of Cutch as I already had the 2014 parallel from last year. 

My Quest for 100 may reach 200 by the end of the year because I have a few large collections that I have made arrangements to purchase. 

McCutchen Mailday #87 & #88: 2 more Prizms

When 2015 Prizm hit the secondary market I went out and snagged a bunch of Cutches for my PC in my quest for 100 new Cutch cards.

For $6 delivered I grabbed this Diamond Marshal and Red Checkerboard parallel.

As you can clearly see I am on a great pace to get to 100 new McCutchen cards by year's end. I very well could potentially add 200 new Cutch cards this year.

Throwin a Marte Partay in a Hippie Craze

Prizm has some of the coolest color parallels each year. From Jackie Robinson's 42 parallels to Major Mojo Blues to America Red,White,Blue; Prism delivers each year. Despite the lack of logos, this year's newest parallel, tie dye, continues that trend.

Numbered 17/50 this trippy parallel on card auto of potential All-Star ran me 20 bills. It's my 20th certified autograph of the speedy left fielder.

McCutchen Mailday Numbers 42, 43, and 44: A lot of Shine!!!!

Big mailday today as 3 new Andrew McCutchen cards came in the mail from eBay in my pursuit for 100.

These three beautiful low numbered parallels hailing from 2014 Topps Chrome, Prizm, and Finest cost me a grand total of $32.  That might seem pricy for only 3 pieces of cardboard that don't have any relics, signatures, or manufactured pins on them.  That's all true, but if you looked at these 3 cards and the way they refract light and shine on a page, you'd change your mind.

All 3 cards are numbered to 100 or less copies and are part of a bigger rainbow project I intend to complete of Cutch this year.

The lack of Spring Training at bats and now his knee problems are a sign of concern for the Bucs as they start the season 1-4. Every single game they lost in Cincinnati could have gone to them just as easily, but you can't make excuses for the loss column. 3 Games under .500 and 4 games out of 1st isn't worth panicking over in April. They've been there as recent as last year. Cutch's health, however, is a little worrisome. I thought he was Fearless as depicted in this card.
