Jameson Tailon cards for $1 delivered, yes please.
Does it sort of look familiar? It should. I grabbed a Gerrit Cole 2013 Top Prospects for a $1 also back in October.

$1 BOB: Gerrit Cole
I love buying Gerrit Cole cards for $1.
This 2013 Bowman Platinum Top Prospects was picked up for just that. $1. Not a bad price for a sharp looking card like this.
Gerrit Cole came up huge in today's victory against the Cardinals to even the series up at 1-1.

$1 BOB: Minor League Edition
$1 doesn't buy you a whole lot, but today it got me these cards shipped
A 2007 TriStar Prospects Plus Potential of Andrew McCutchen.
Above you can see the young centerfielder's accomplishments and some scouting reports.
I also managed to grab a 2011 Just Gems card of Starling Marte.
Above is the back of the card. Note the legal stuff at the bottom of the card.

$1 Bob: Vintage Edition
There's few things in this world that you can get for $1. Here's my latest pickups for $1 or less a piece.
Today's post is retro as I go way back to 1966 and cross off two vintage Topps needs from the Pirates team sets. 1966 is the team set I'm closest to completing. I'm down to 6 cards, 2 of which are stars (Bill Mazeroski and Willie Stargell).

1966 Topps #235 Don Cardwell and #182 Jerry Lynch |

I'll take $1, Bob (pt2)
My Penguins collection is not nearly as expansive of my Pirates collection which is a damn shame cause the Penguins have had some extremely good teams the past couple years. However, there is one player that I love to collect of the Pens and that is Kris Letang. The dude's a badass Defenseman and most of the time acts as an extra Forward when he's on the ice. Even though he's missed considerable time he still leads the NHL Dmen in points this season.
I managed to grab 7 of his cards at the mall show as part of the 25 cards for $20 deal.
The Upper Deck card above is just flat out wrong. Can't argue that it's a unique shot, but I'm just glad that Letang isn't the bitch in that relationship.
If anyone has any Kris Letang cards can you send them my way? PLEASE!!!!!!
Also in the $1 collection of Penguins cards to purchase was the above Larry Murphy jersey relic. Sure it's nothing great, but for a Pens sweater, yeah I'll add it for $1
The final 5 cards in the lot that bought were of the Penguins Captain. Love him or hate him, he's still one of the best talents in the game and the face of hockey.
Of course I'm talking about Sid.
You can send me cards of him too btw.

VINTAGE CARD PICKUPS FOR $5 OR LESS
Over the weekend, my local mall had a small baseball card show. There was only 3 vendors there, but there was definitely some bargains to be had as I highlighted in 2 previous posts. I have been slowly chipping away at my pre1975 Topps Pirates wants and this show definitely helped. There wasn't a single vintage card in this post that I paid more than $5 for which is a bargain considering there was a handful of Hall of Famers Clementes, Mazeroskis, and Stargells. In addition there was a 1952 Topps amongst other Topps cards from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. I even got an Al Oliver rookie card for $1. A fricking dollar for a guy that put up near HOF numbers.
I didn't have time to individually scan all the cards or take them out of the cases. Many of the cards were just sitting in penny sleeves throughout the boxes. I must have spent 2 hours going through boxes upon boxes of 70s baseball cards $1 and 60s baseball $3. The 52, 53, and 54 Topps were just sitting on a table unmarked. I asked how much for those and he said. How about $25 for the lot. Hmmmm.....let me think about that? DEAL!!!! $5 for a 1952 Topps card. Um yes please.
I was extremely happy when I found the Clementes though. A 1971, 1972, and 1973 Topps Roberto Clemente for a couple bucks. How could anyone pass that up? Seriously????? That's a steal.
Overall I couldn't be happier and am now only 9 cards each away from completing the 1970 & 1971 Pirates Team sets. I will update all my team set needs in the future.
